About Out-Smarts Marketing

Out-Smarts Marketing helps purpose-led organisations grow their impact online through digital marketing that is transparent, ethical, and effective. We work with clients in the healthcare and senior care sectors, delivering SEO, GEO, online advertising, content management, and website development. We’re a small team that values professionalism, integrity, collaboration, and curiosity — and we hold ourselves to a high standard in everything we deliver.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Client Success Manager to be the connective tissue between our clients and our specialist team. This role reports directly to the founder and is central to how we deliver work.

This is not a pure project or account management role. You’ll need a solid, working knowledge of digital marketing across SEO, GEO, paid advertising, content, and analytics — and be comfortable getting hands-on when needed. That might mean editing a Google Ads campaign, updating a WordPress page, setting up a GA4 event, or pulling together a Looker Studio report.

A typical week is a mix of client communication, collaborative strategy sessions with the team, and hands-on execution across active accounts.

This is a part-time contract role starting at 20–25 hours per week, with potential to grow into more hours or a permanent position for the right person.

Team Structure

You’ll report directly to the founder and work day-to-day alongside a small team of specialists and contractors. You’ll be the primary coordinator across the team — keeping strategy aligned, work on track, and clients informed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and the Out-Smarts team
  • Run regular client meetings covering project progress, marketing performance, and upcoming deliverables
  • Bring strategic direction to client accounts — setting direction, not just coordinating tasks
  • Guide and support specialists and contractors, ensuring work is aligned with each client’s goals
  • Oversee projects from planning through delivery, keeping timelines and quality on track
  • Coordinate SEO, GEO, advertising, social media, and website development projects
  • Manage and present client reporting using DashThis, Looker Studio, and GA4 Insights and Reports
  • Get hands-on with execution as needed — including WordPress content updates, Google Ads and social media ad edits, GA4 event setup, and analytics reporting
  • Monitor and manage analytics (GA4, GTM) and share actionable insights with clients

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing — ideally at an agency, with a mix of account management, project management, and hands-on execution
  • Solid working knowledge of SEO, GEO, paid search, and social media advertising — including familiarity with AI Overviews and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
  • Comfort with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or similar) is required — AI is part of how we work
  • Proven project management experience — able to juggle multiple clients and deadlines without dropping the ball
  • Hands-on experience with WordPress (content updates), Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Reddit Ads
  • Comfortable working in GA4 and GTM — including event setup and reporting
  • Strong written and spoken English — you’ll be communicating with clients daily via email, video call, and chat
  • Based in British Columbia — must be available for client meetings in Pacific Time
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Tools

  • Project Management: Teamwork (including Teamwork Chat)
  • Communication: Google Meet, Zoom, Google Workspace
  • Analytics: GA4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, Search Console
  • Advertising: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Reddit Ads
  • Reporting: DashThis, GA4 Insights and Reports, Looker Studio
  • SEO: Ahrefs, SEO PowerSuite
  • CMS: WordPress (content updates; no HTML/CSS required, though some knowledge is an asset)
  • Creative Review: Canva, Figma, or Adobe XD
  • AI Tools: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or similar

Compensation

  • CAD $50–$60 per hour, based on experience
  • 20–25 hours per week
  • Fully remote with flexible hours
  • No benefits included at this stage (contract position)
  • Potential to expand hours or transition to a permanent role

Our Hiring Process

We run a three-step interview process, including a practical skills assessment and reference checks. We want to make sure this is the right fit for both sides.
