For over two decades our team has supported organizations that make a difference in the world, cultivating and growing a unique online presence for each, true to their missions and accessible to their audiences. With so many success stories to recount, we decided it was high time we added our own to the list and to give our own site the coveted Out-Smarts touch.
We’re excited to officially introduce the new Out-Smarts. Here is where we walk our talk, putting our own strategies into practice. We reimagined the brand and website to best express who we are and what we aspire to accomplish. With one look, a client should feel immediately assured of our expertise, our virtues, and our reliability. Additionally, we hope to inspire excitement at the possibility of what we can offer them, as well as confidence in our commitment to realising their vision.
Why the Change?
Out-Smarts has grown a lot since our launch in 2002. We have evolved from a scrappy startup into a trusted digital marketing partner with many proud achievements to our name. We fostered our reputation collaborating with ethical businesses across and beyond our home of Canada. Our clientele has diversified, our team has grown, and our services have expanded. All of this and somehow our old branding and website had remained stagnant.
So we asked ourselves: what would it mean to capture everything we have become within a revitalized brand identity?
The answer? A sharp, modern image that echoes our roots, proclaims pride for how far we’ve come, and promises a prosperous future. We have developed a website that feels carefully crafted, thoughtful, and intuitive. At its core, the website is built to support visitors, making it easy for anyone to find what they’re looking for..
A Brand That Feels Like Us
Our brand refresh began with layers of introspection. Our goal was to fully appreciate what makes Out-Smarts… Out-Smarts. We found ourselves drawn to the visual elements at play in our earliest iconography. We felt encouraged by the symbology of our original logo, a geometric design of a triangle and circle. This led to the reimagined design we display today, detailed, polished and intentional.
The new brand colours reflect our values and personality: a foundation of deep navy and coastal blue to signify trust and professionalism and our location on the Pacific coast, accented by golden yellow and soft off-white tones that engender warmth, optimism, and approachability.
We also updated our typography, pairing the elegant DM Serif for headers with the crisp legibility of Lato for body text. The result is a design that is both distinctive and familiar, assuring our clients of the comfort they can expect interacting with us.
This new visual identity now enlivens our entire site and will imbue our character into all of our communications moving forward.

Our new site isn’t just easier on the eyes, it’s also easier to use. It’s more informative, and more representative of our full capabilities.
